Opportunities

There are several research opportunities for opportuntiesundergraduates. Undergraduates can apply for a College of ACES Undergraduate Research Program. Students whose projects are approved by the College are awarded a $500 merit scholarship for the semester during which the research project is conducted, plus some funds to conduct the research. Students working with Dr. Chapman-Novakofski usually also work with one of her graduate students. The project needs to be discussed with Dr. Chapman-Novakofski before applying to the College. Undergraduates may also be hired as undergraduate research assistants or receive undergraduate research credit.

Potential graduate students must apply through either the Division of Nutritional Sciences or the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. It is helpful for potential graduate students to contact Dr. Chapman-Novakofski prior to application to determine if vacancies exist in her lab.
